I woke up
early today 5:00 am to be exact..., expecting
it to be a great fullfilling day.

Today was the day of the bird show. I go twice a year and sell
baby
lovebirds, bird toys and birdy huts that they sleep in.
We (my family and I) leave at 6:00 am, and its pouring down rain. That I can live with.
It's around 100 miles or so to get to New Albany, IN. We are about 40 miles
from the show and there is no kidding, 2 inches of ice on the side of the road. Then it starts to spread into the street. The van starts to slide

right to

left and I'm nervously

telling my dad to slow down.
We are going about 15 MPH and start seeing more and more cars on the
side of the road. We get to the last highway we needed to turn off at and it
was worse. Tons of ice. The highway was shiney black.
City trucks had just started to come out to try and scrape off the ice from
the sides of the road. I'm thinking, "Dumbass!! You need to be scraping
the
road itself, not the sides!".
On the the radio it said that the storm is getting worse up north, which
happens to be the direction we were headed.
It was supposed to get colder and more ice that evening. We didn't want
to be stuck out of town in an ice storm, so I suggested that we head
back home.

I was sad and let down. I was really counting on that money to finish my
Christmas shopping. I also, wanted to live to see Christmas day to and not
end up in the hospital because of the van sliding off the road.
If that wasn't all, on the way home, I started to sweat. I'm like "Is it hot in
here?". Everyone is like, "no, its just you". lol
I had a fever when I got home, so I went straight to bed and slept

for the rest of the day and part of tonight.
I still have to figure out what I'm going to do about the rest of the gifts for
Christmas.
